ABOUT THE ARTIST: Lauren Reynolds is an interior designer and mixed-media artist living in Alexandria, Virginia. Her grandmother, Rhea Reynolds, earned her B.F.A. from Syracuse University in 1949 and has been painting for over 90 years. Rhea's career as an interior designer and passion for art sparked Lauren's creative interests at a young age. She earned her B.A. in Art and Visual Technology with a concentration in Graphic Design from George Mason University, and an M.A. in Interior Design from the Corcoran College of Art + Design at George Washington University. She has been privileged to work with interior designers Lauren Liess and Darryl Carter, her mentors, and design heroes. She is inspired by tonal, moody landscapes, artists Simon Denis, J.M.W. Turner, Thomas Cole, and of course, Grandma Rhea.
