Uses: Spray directly on the skin for a calming facial tonic, especially for sensitive skin; a soothing aftershave, also good as a hydrating facial cleanser. For common injuries, use directly or in a compress for minor cuts and scrapes. Use in a compress for puffy eyes. Spray 5 or 6 times in an 8 oz glass of water for both kids and adults for all-natural flavor with healthy benefits! Beautiful blended with Lavender, Lemon Thyme or Lemon Verbena.
Legends & Lore: It was once believed that chamomile could attract love and an infusion like this one or the flowers directly were added to the bath. Others believed it attracted money and a handwash of chamomile was sometimes used by gamblers to ensure winnings. It's long been used in sleep and meditation incenses.
NOTE FROM LAUREN: In my family on the Italian side, chamomile (or "chamomila" as my family calls it) is considered the cure-all for everything- stomach aches (it works wonders!) and as a calming tea before bedtime or the tea you take when your throat hurts... it even works on cuts and scrapes! If you've seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding, "chamomila" is basically my family's version of Windex. I love having chamomile hydrosol around for quick fixes and especially love how it feels on my face.
About Hydrosol: Hydrosols are pure floral waters from steam distilled flowering herbs, transforming the botanical resilience of plants into liquid form.
