ABOUT THE ARTIST: Lauren Rose Jackson is a fine artist in Herndon, Virginia. Her inspiration is rooted in her experiences hiking Virginia’s trails and waterways and the serene land and waterscapes of North Carolina’s coastal Outer Banks and Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Lauren's series of works include landscapes, seascapes, animals, historical and biblical figures. Her work is often described as soulful and moody, high contrast with a deep sense of the nocturne style. Oil is Lauren's primary medium on loose canvas and tapestries. She also uses acrylic, charcoal and earth pigments. Lauren integrates natural elements such as soil, sand, clay and rain to deepen the connection between her experiences and her work.
